KHS Mission & Vision

Kinney Continuation High School 2024-25 Focus at-a-glance

Mission

Kinney High and Prospect Community Day School are dedicated to student learning. We believe that all students can learn and be successful in an environment that best suits individual students' learning styles, academic abilities, and personal needs.

Vision

At Kinney High and Prospect Community Day School, we know the value of being present, positive, and productive, and that one can never give up if they want to achieve their dreams. We aim to offer a solid credit recovery program that is built around relationships, the best standards-based curriculum, and a solid Social-emotional program. The vision of Kinney High School is to offer an alternative place for learning while providing a safe, caring environment where students can improve their academic, personal, and social skills to become positive, productive members of society. We provide this through smaller class sizes, by emphasizing personal responsibility, and by establishing a safe and nurturing climate that enhances self-esteem.

Attendance Goal 2024-25

We will improve our ADA attendance by 4% from the 2023-2024 school year. It was 76% attendance to 80%. With a strong focus on the month of May increasing by 5% overall from 65.4% to 70% overall.

Graduation Goal 2024-25

We will improve our percentage of graduates from 70% to 75% by May, 2025 by updating grades every Tuesday to make sure students get timely feedback and intervention.
